As Albert Eistein famously stated that mirrors a Hopi teaching, "The consciousness that creates a problem is insufficient for addressing it.” Ilarion Merculieff, Unangan/Aleut Elder, will begin by sharing his wisdom regrading Earth based consciousness; Milt Markewitz, whose work in understanding living systems and their relationship to climate change, will share work done in the classroom that awakens an already knowing and significant paradigm shift regarding how students wish to live their lives; and Emily Martin, Science teacher at Hood River High School will discuss and lead conversations regarding how these understandings might be implemented in the classroom.

Presenters: Ilarion Merculieff (Wisdom Weavers of the World), Milt Markewitz (Pull Together Now)Emily Martin (Hood River Valley High School)
